Sun Fired

Neutrals are one of the few items that seem to make a constant (if not, consistent) rotation in my wardrobe. I'm drawn towards the white-washed palette of a neutral because it lends itself to an array of supplementals... like a pop of neon orange sunglasses or a bright nautical bag, etc. This sweater from Zara was a great find - at only $16. Often times, I'll end up buying something (whether I like it or not) just because it's so very inexpensive. Am I the only one? I pray there is a therapy group for this. :)

In other news, HAPPY EASTER!

Camouflaged

Let's be honest - I'm a country boy. I may have been groomed in the city, but you can't take the "redneck" out of the boy. I've been thrilled to see camouflage become a must-have trend in menswear. There are a few pieces I just couldn't get rid of ... no matter how hard I tried. Now I can proudly display my hideously-oversized camo windbreaker (deer included) - whether or not I will actually wear it is still in question.

So notice my surprise when Italian footwear powerhouse SUPERGLAMOUROUS sent me these Camo Babouche that are cool to the very last drop. Made with printed pony hair and lined in buttery leather, my feet are smiling in every step. The best part of these shoes are the way they mesh with just about any outfit! Here I've styled with with a blue plaid shirt and salmon pants. What do you think?

If you haven't already - you really should check out this amazing jewelry line by artist Gabriel Shuldiner. It's absolutely epic. His unique pieces are constructed using an intricate and wonderfully interesting way. This dog tag, for instance, is composed of Japanese charcoal + steel + resin + dust + recycled acrylic polymer emulsion... a mouthful, I know. But the end product is stunning. And the best part... his chains and most of his ingredients are Fair Trade Certified. Beautiful jewelry that doesn't kill the trade system... sign me up! Check out his pieces here!

Plaid Out

As they say, home is where the heart is. And I assume my heart landed somewhere near Vermont because I do love a good plaid. There is something so inherently rustic and masculine about a plaid print that instantly makes me feel rugged. Granted, I sassed it up with some cobalt denim (naturally) so as not to completely frump this outfit up.

In other news, I've had a wonderful weekend. How about you all?

All Tied Up

As you may have guessed, I love a good tie situation. However, since I'm completely abnormal and can't do things in any normal fashion, I like creating my own remix of classic styles. This ribbon is actually an old ribbon bow tie that I deconstructed and began tying it in a more old-fashioned way. What do you think?

Also, I'm on a roof. I thought I was going to fall... it's 11 stories down. [cue freak out moment]

Nauticus

Nothing fuels my passion more than a really good nautical look. Between the comfortable NUNC tee to the Vanessa Mooney necklace, I was just about ready to hop on a yacht and call it a day. Alas, I don't come across too many yachts in my concrete jungle... so I settled for a vodka soda on the roof of the Standard Hotel instead. It pretty much served the same purpose :)

Are you following me on Twitter? I'm quite funny... if I may say so. ;)
